Family Medicine
T.H.I.S. offers the entire range of Family Medicine and Outpatient Gynecology services, with the exception of Obstetrics. We take care of your children, your adults, and your elders. We care for people with acute illnesses and injuries, such as colds, flu, asthma, gastroenteritis, food poisoning, and contact dermatitis just to name a few. We also take care of chronic and more complicated problems such as heart failure, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, and hypertension. Gynecology Services include: IUD Insertions, minor office surgery, colposcopies, biopsies, and LEEP Surgery for the management of abnormal Pap smears, dysplasia, and cervical cancer. Finally, we offer comprehensive and personalized Health Maintenance, with physical exams, health maintenance ancillary tests, such as testing for cholesterol, diverse types of cancer, coronary disease prevention, risk factor analysis, and referral for special tests.
Special Programs
At T.H.I.S. we have pioneered the development of special programs, such as T.H.I.N., a weight management group treatment that offers health directed weight reduction, based on modifications of life habits, natural products and supplements and medication assistance, but without toxic drugs. We also offer addiction free pain management group treatment, and classes regarding activity and dietary modifications in the treatment of multiple chronic illnesses.
Minor Emergency Care
Our Acute Care Division will see you without an appointment. We believe in being there when our patients need us. You may have to wait, your co-payment may be higher than on an appointment visit, and you may not get to see the doctor you normally see, but you will get care that same day, and with the same quality that you have come to expect from us. We can treat lacerations (wounds), burns, sprains, some fractures, dislocations, muscle strain, and other emergencies.
Psychiatric Medicine and Counseling
A patient is not only a body, or a disease. A patient is a person, with physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Neglecting any of these results in disease. This is why, from the beginning, T.H.I.S. has integrated psychiatric care into traditional family medicine. If you come to see us for recurrent sore throats, your doctor may ask you about your stress level. We know that if you are getting frequent infections, something is affecting your spiritual peace. At T.H.I.S. we also offer psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medical treatment of psychiatric conditions.
Addiction Medicine
T.H.I.S. offers evaluation of Substance and Behavioral Addictions, and treatment of the various substance and behavioral dependance disorders. Presently, we offer complete Six-Dimensional ASAM Evaluations, Assessments for DWI , Medical Detoxification, individual and group therapy. In the near future we plan to offer the complete array of Addiction related services with Inpatient Detox, Day Treatment, Outpatient and Residential Care of alcohol and drug abuse.
Occupational Medicine
We offer a complete array of services for the employer, including: physicals, drug testing, evaluation of work related injuries and illnesses, physical therapy referrals, pulmonary function testing for respirator fitness, toxicology testing, executive physicals, MRO services and coordination of services with case managers, insurance companies, and attorneys.
